Korrask

With a multitude of articulated claws digging through root and soil the korrask is an unseen behemoth. When near the surface it will pull back its primary mandibles, whip-like tendons stretched taut as it waits for the light step of prey over the forest's leaf litter. With sensitive questing antennae it gauges the incoming quick woodland creatures and in an explosion of soil and chitin ruptures from the earth often slicing its prey in half and swallowing it into its tooth-lined maw.
