Striding across sunlit glades the herragath makes for a patient predator. Standing stock still in shallow waters, it waits for the sun to rise to its zenith, and the fish and frogs to seek shelter under the cool canopy of lilypads. Dozens of specialized leg scales spread outwards and green tinged to mimic the nearby flora, and as a resting prey nestle in close, the herragath will spear its beak downwards, impaling and securing another meal.
